If you’ve been seeing a lot of BELTA Folic Acid ads on Facebook, you might be wondering what this Japanese food supplement can do for you.

Read my story and gain insights and information that can help you decide if this product is right for you.

When did I start taking BELTA Folic Acid?

I started taking BELTA Folic Acid back in January 2019, out of curiosity.

Since I turned 30, I’ve started reading up about ways to stay healthy and ready for pregnancy. I try to exercise as regularly as possible. I do my best to eat well. And I force myself to get enough sleep, even if I sleep pretty late every night.

My friend, who happens to be an OB, told me to start taking folic acid if I wanted to conceive. Intrigued why a doctor would suggest taking a vitamin meant for pregnant women, I began to do my own research.

That’s how I came across BELTA Folic Acid, a food supplement made in Japan.

As with most folic acid brands, Belta Folic Acid works like Vitamin C, you’d pee out any excess, so I wasn’t hesitant to try it. Not to mention, it’s endorsed by Japan’s Ministry of Health.

It also follows the dose that the World Health Organization recommends: 400 µg (0.4 mg) daily, ideally before conception. With this initial research done, I felt pretty good about trying the product.

What does folic acid do to a woman’s body?

Folic Acid can help improve implantation success rate in women trying to conceive. It also reduces the risks of brain and spine defects in unborn babies, especially during the crucial first trimester.

Until recently, I haven’t been aware that folic acid is hard to obtain from food. This nutrient comes from green and leafy vegetables such as asparagus, broccoli, legumes, Brussels sprouts and more. With my busy lifestyle, I was sure I wasn’t getting enough of this essential nutrient.

But do you know that even if you eat a bowl of salad every meal, you will still be off the mark? You’re still nutritionally deficient because Folic acid supplements are better than food. 85% absorption from supplements vs 50% from food, said a Harvard study.

What makes BELTA folic acid different from other folic acid brands?

I’m sure you’re wondering about this, too. Here’s what I found:

1. ABSORPTION RATE. Belta folic acid supplement contains mono-glutamic folate in natural yeast, so it is ingested more efficiently than other generic folic acid brands. This helps you effectively prevent and fight the problem of folate deficiency.
2. COMPONENTS. Every tablet of Belta Folic Acid contains 27 kinds of vitamins and minerals, 5mg iron, 62.5 mg calcium, 23 vegetables and beauty ingredients (including hyaluronic acid, collagen, swallow’s nest, lactoferrin (LF), and biotin, which help promote radiant skin, healthy hair and strong nails).
3. QUALITY. Belta Folic Acid follows the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards in Japan.
4. Recommended by Japan’s Ministry of Health.

What are the benefits of folic acid?

  • Boost fertility and sperm count in men
  • Improve menstruation cycle (irregular period) and manage PCOS
  • Maintain your overall health, which greatly affects fertility
  • Prevent anemia and birth defects
  • Increase the success rate of implantation, helping women become pregnant

That’s the answer you’ll get when you chat with their agents on Facebook. But I wanted to know more so I asked them about the specific ingredients.

Here they are: 6 Beauty Components, 21 Kinds of Vegetables, 100% yeast folic acid (400μg). No gluten, wheat, or dairy. BELTA Folic Acid for Men has the same components, but men need to take only half of the dose women need (200mcg).

Where to buy Belta Folic Acid?

Belta Folic Acid

You can get it on Lazada or through their Facebook page. Since I intended to take this supplement every day until I get pregnant, I asked the supplier to give me a special discount. I got a 10% discount.

If you’d like to get the same price, let me know so I can contact the seller on your behalf and negotiate for the same discount.

Did I get pregnant?

Yes. Just after a month and half of taking this supplement, I missed my period and confirmed via a pregnancy test and TVS that I was indeed carrying a baby. Now I’m on my 27 weeks of pregnancy.

This is why I believe in the product and I happily recommend it to women who have been trying to conceive for years without success.

I wish to hear the same positive news from you, too. Cheers!
