The Pyramid is in Cebu and there isn’t a single mummy inside. See what’s in store for you.
A few days after the official soft opening of The Pyramid, the newest triangular, glass-walled dining place along Eblock 3 Cebu IT Park, we decided to baptize it. And by ‘we’, I mean my workmates and I. So, what did we order?
Featuring eclectic dinner and dessert items, The Pyramid’s offerings are unsurprisingly limited. But their drink selection is varied. I can’t quite put my finger on the main cuisine – it’s a mix of Filipino favorites like Crispy Pata or deep fried pig trotters (thanks Wikipedia), Italian dishes such as pasta and pizza as well as some Spanish delicacies like tapas. For desserts, French-inspired items like macaroons are good (one of our bosses roamed around each table looking to nibble a stray piece).
But what their menu lacks in creativity, it makes up for in value. I have a feeling their multi-cuisine menu will evolve into something better over time.
The staff started serving us with Caesar salad as appetizer. But the crowd only cheered after this Crispy Pata graced the table.
Desserts range from sour lemon cake to sweet macaroons. Cold cuts of meat, cheeses, and craft beers are also on sale.
There’s a glass room filled with wine offerings. It’s chilly inside. Picture-taking is welcome, just smile at the staff standing by.
Want more liquor? The Pyramid Cebu has no shortage of options.
There’s no shame in loving free drinks, what matters is you get home and still manage to find the right key to your door.
The upper deck of the restaurant has two of these private dining spaces. Good for 10 people. Air-conditioning can be improved.

And I didn’t forget. Here are snaps of the first two pages of their menu:
